About the Tea Room…

The Merrillville Tea Room is a cozy, intimate setting open for lunch and tea Wednesday thru Saturday from 11 am to 2:30 pm and available for all kinds of special celebrations. Truly, a region landmark to our family and friends who are familiar with our Tea Room, and a hidden gem to those who have yet to discover all that we have to offer.

As a local establishment, we take pride in quality food and customer service, providing a memorable experience that makes every visit special. Guests are greeted with china place settings, tea cups and baskets of fresh scones and pumpkin cranberry bread - the perfect bite with a cup of tea and a great compliment to your meal - and our menu features traditional recipes, specific to the Merrillville Tea Room, made in-house from scratch and fresh to order.

Our Tea Room offers various types of seating with lots of traditional charm and character - including our Red Velvet Room, French Door Room, Fireside Porch and Main Dining Room - and the most popular spot is in one of our two nooks. Our nooks are unique, cozy, and a great place to relax with a quiet cup of tea or catch up with a friend for lunch.
